CHARITY
Zürcher Tierschutz
Our vision is a society in which humans regard all domestic, farm and wild animal as fellow creatures, cultivate a respectful interaction with them and protect their well-being by acting responsibly.
Zurich Animal Protection encourages willingness and competence to prevent and overcome animal welfare problems. In doing so, we pursue our interests consistently, argumentatively, and scientifically. We cultivate a tolerant, respectful, and supportive interaction with each other and with the outside world and thus achieve solidarity despite differences.
Stray Paws Swiss
Stray Paws Swiss is an official Swiss association who supports the registered Greek associations “ Stray Paws of Pyrgos ” and “ Noiazomai Animal Society ” from Krestena with his charitable work.
Our common goal is:
-
to improve the quality of life of Greek street dogs,
-
to curb their reproduction through castration
-
and for some of them, to find a permanent home in Switzerland.
SOS Chats
SOS Chats Genève is a non-profit organization that has been dedicated to the voluntary protection and care of homeless cats in Geneva and its surrounding areas since 1992.
Lost or abandoned cats are taken in at the shelter and cared for while waiting to be reunited with their owners or adopted into a new home. Nearly 500 cats and 30 small pets (rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, rats, mice, hamsters, etc.) find a new family each year.
Dogs Angels
Primarily we collaborate with shelters in Bosnia, but occasionally we also work with organizations in other countries. With the help of local shelters and social media, we locate families in Switzerland and the EU to find forever homes for the dogs we save.
We also help by collecting funds to support local shelters, covering their veterinary costs, food and other essentials. We ensure that the funds go into the places where they are most needed.
Soi Dog Foundation
Soi Dog Foundation (Soi Dog) was established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, to help the street dogs and cats who had no-one else to care for them. Over 70,000 strays roamed the island, with the numbers growing alarmingly due to a lack of spay and neuter programmes to control the population. Soi Dog was created to provide a humane and sustainable solution to managing the stray population and to address their medical needs. Funding then, as it does now, came entirely from individuals who shared, and continue to share, the vision of our founders.
